This is a PHOTOCOPY of a 1930s Vintage Pattern to make Clothes for a 22" tall Shirley Temple, Patsy Lou, or similar dolls. The pattern makes classic 1930s clothing: Dress with the T front + side panels, Hat with wide brim, and Slip/ Petticoat/ Combination (a combination is a slip with panties attached at the waist under the skirt). I include a COLOR printout copy of the front cover and black and white copies of the back cover, instructions and the complete pattern. In 1934 a young girl named Shirley Temple had her first movie role. Audiences loved her and she starred in movie after movie all with happy endings, a much needed diversion from the difficult economic times. The Ideal Toy Company started making Shirley Temple dolls to sell to her young fans. With each movie that Shirley made, a new outfit from the movie was made for sale. In addition, mothers and their daughters could purchase patterns to make clothing for their Shirley Temple dolls themselves. These patterns come from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s, which just shows the lasting place Shirley Temple has in our hearts.<br>Due to Shirley's stardome, her dolls became an instant success and were made for many years in a large variety of sizes. Shirley Temple dolls were made in the following sizes: 11", 13", 16", 17", 18", 20", 22", 25", and 27".
